XENOptics’ also presented a compelling 5×5 Lightning Talk on Tuesday 18-June, presented by Solomon Sokolosky, Co-Founder and COO. The 5-minute presentation, delivered with clarity and vision, highlighted the company’s flagship innovation: the XENOptics Smart Optical Switch (XSOS). Designed to eliminate the need for manual fiber patching, the XSOS enables remote-controlled robotic switching with passive, high-fidelity fiber connections. This zero-touch approach promises to transform operations for telecom providers, hyperscalers, and colocation data centers, especially those pursuing unmanned edge data center strategies.
One of the most talked-about topics at the event was how XENOptics is bridging the gap between traditional manual fiber networks and the future of automated, software-defined optical infrastructure. The XSOS, with its field-replaceable robotic control units, is already being deployed in use cases such as FTTH rollouts in Germany and edge data centers, where remote management and uptime are critical.
In addition to the XSOS, XENOptics also unveiled a sneak peek of their upcoming innovation: the Compact Smart Optical Switch (CSOS). Slated for release in the second half of 2025, the CSOS will offer 2RU form factors with options for 72 or 144 fiber ports, providing scalability for dense environments without compromising on automation or performance.
